ELLE July Cover: Leslie jones

OK…… 1st of all if you don’t watch this woman on SNL you are missing out.
This was the 1st time working with Leslie. We laughed and had so much fun getting her ready for this shoot.
We discussed exactly what she wanted with her hair. She wanted a super cool spiky look. I used 3 different products on her hair. I used STARRING runway ready to blow her hair out with! Then used Loreal Professional Architecture for shine and that spiky look. Then finished off with Elnett Hairspray to hold in place.

Saoirse cover of TIME

I have been working with Saoirse for about a year now. I think she is not only a great actress but also a wonderful person. At 22 years old with two Oscar nominations under her belt and a ton of awards she is destined for an amazing career.

I started off on wet hair using STARRING Runway Ready blowdrying spray from roots to ends. I used a medium sized round brush to blowdry her hair. Since I knew I was putting it up I wanted to create beautiful texture and movement.

This is my 2nd cover of Time in less than a month. I am so honored.

However, it turns out the style wasn’t entirely tech-inspired. See below for hair pro Ted Gibson’s surprising inspiration — and an exclusive breakdown of the look.
